This Mor Kali waist panel is hand-embroidered with floral rosettes, mirrored diamond medallions and a pair of facing peacocks at the hem — a Gujarati craft piece that ties over a chaniya choli to complete a Navratri or wedding look. Being a separate piece, it moves between outfits season after season.

  • Craft: Hand embroidery with mirror (abhla) work in the Kutch–Saurashtra tradition
  • Motifs: Twin facing peacocks, floral rosettes and geometric diamond medallions
  • Finish: Contrast piping, mirrored diamond border and pearl-drop bead fringe
  • Fit: One size — fabric ties fasten at the waist over any chaniya choli or lehenga
  • Colours: Black, White, Rani Pink, Blue
  • Occasion: Navratri, Garba, weddings and festive functions

Handmade by artisans — small variations in stitch and mirror placement are part of the craft. Quality checked before dispatch. Free pan-India delivery.

Product FAQs

Have questions? Check out our FAQs or contact support for assistance.

How is the Mor Kali waist panel worn?

It is worn over a chaniya choli or lehenga, centred at the front of the skirt. The fabric ties at the top pass around the waist and knot at the back, so the embroidered panel hangs flat down the front. Nothing is stitched or pinned to your outfit.

Is it one size? Will it fit my lehenga?

Yes, it is one size. The waist ties are long enough to adjust across a wide range of sizes, and because the panel simply hangs at the front it works over most chaniya cholis and lehengas regardless of the skirt's flare or length.

What colours are available?

Four colours: Black, White, Rani Pink and Blue. The embroidery is multicoloured on every option, so each one pairs with a wide range of chaniya choli colours rather than needing an exact match.

How do I care for the mirror work and beadwork?

Dry clean only. Do not machine wash, soak or wring it. Iron on the reverse at low heat and keep the iron away from the mirrors and beads. Store it flat or loosely rolled with tissue between the embroidered layers so the mirrors do not scratch each other.

Will my piece look exactly like the photo?

Very close, but not identical. Every panel is embroidered by hand, so stitch density, mirror placement and thread shade vary slightly from piece to piece. These small differences are a mark of genuine handwork rather than a defect.
