Product Details

Bring the grace of Shrinathji to your entrance with this three-piece hand-embroidered toran set. The top toran shows Shrinathji between his beloved cows (gau) and coconut palms, above three fringed scallops of blooming flowers and a parrot pair, and two matching side hangings carry the same blessings down both sides of the door.

  • Craft: Hand embroidery (bharat) with mirror (abhla) work in the Kutch–Saurashtra tradition
  • Top toran: Shrinathji at the centre, flanked by decorated cows, coconut palms and flowering vines, with a beaded-style dotted border; below it hang three rounded scallops — floral jaal on the sides and a facing parrot pair at the centre — each edged with a multicolour thread fringe
  • Side hangings: Two matching vertical panels, each with Shrinathji, a cow, a coconut palm and a parrot pair, set between chevron bands of flowers and mirror-centred suns, finished in a pointed tip
  • Symbolism: Shrinathji, the child form of Lord Krishna worshipped at Nathdwara, is paired with the cows he tended; the coconut palm (kalpavriksha) stands for abundance and the parrots for love and joy
  • Size: Top toran 40 in × 14 in (with scallops); each side hanging 7 in × 40 in; about 54 in (4.5 ft) across when hung together
  • Finish: White base, red piped borders with gold-yellow outline stitching and multicolour thread fringe
  • Hanging: Fabric loops along the top of all three pieces — hang on nails, adhesive hooks or a thin rod
  • Colours: Royal blue, red, green, pink and gold-yellow embroidery on white
  • Occasion: Diwali, Janmashtami, Annakut, Griha Pravesh (housewarming), Navratri and everyday festive décor
  • In the box: 1 top toran + 2 side hangings (3 pieces)

Handmade by artisans — small variations in stitch and mirror placement are part of the craft. Quality checked before dispatch. Free pan-India delivery.

Product FAQs

How do I hang the Shrinathji Gau Bharat toran set?

All three pieces have fabric loops stitched along the top. Hang the 40-inch toran across the top of the door frame with its fringed scallops facing down, then hang one side hanging on each side of the frame. Small nails, adhesive hooks or a thin rod through the loops all work.

What size is the toran set, and will it fit my door?

The top toran is 40 in (3.3 ft) wide and 14 in (1.2 ft) tall including its fringed scallops. Each side hanging is 7 in wide and 40 in (3.3 ft) long. Hung together, the set spans about 54 in (4.5 ft), which suits most standard Indian main doors and pooja room entrances.

What is included in the set?

You get three pieces: one top toran with three fringed scallops, and two matching side hangings. The pieces are separate, so you can also hang the toran on its own above a door, mandir or window.

Why is Shrinathji shown with cows on this toran?

Shrinathji is the child form of Lord Krishna worshipped at Nathdwara, and as Gopal he is the protector of cows. That is why cows (gau) appear beside him in traditional Gujarati and Rajasthani art. Placed at the entrance, the design invites his blessings of protection and prosperity into the home, and is especially loved for Janmashtami, Annakut and Diwali.

Where and when can I use this toran?

It is made for the main entrance, pooja room or mandir, and also works on a living-room wall. It is a popular choice for Diwali, Griha Pravesh (housewarming), Navratri and weddings, and makes a thoughtful festive or housewarming gift.

How do I care for the embroidery and mirror work?

Dry clean only — do not machine wash, soak or wring. Dust gently with a soft dry cloth and keep the mirrors away from water. Store flat or loosely rolled in a dry place when not in use.

Will my toran look exactly like the photo?

Each toran is embroidered by hand, so small variations in stitch, thread shade and mirror placement are natural and part of the craft. The design, colours and overall look will match the design you choose.
