Product Details

This Mor Kali waist panel is hand-embroidered with floral rosettes, mirrored diamond medallions and a pair of facing peacocks at the hem — a Gujarati craft piece sized to 2 feet for young girls, tying over a chaniya choli to complete a Navratri or Garba look. Being a separate piece, it moves between outfits season after season.

  • Craft: Hand embroidery with mirror (abhla) work in the Kutch–Saurashtra tradition
  • Motifs: Twin facing peacocks, floral rosettes and geometric diamond medallions
  • Finish: Contrast piping, mirrored diamond border and pearl-drop bead fringe
  • Fit / Use: 2 foot length, sized for girls — ties at the waist and drapes over any chaniya choli in seconds, no stitching required
  • Colours: Black, White
  • Occasion: Navratri, Garba, weddings and festive functions

Handmade by artisans — small variations in stitch and mirror placement are part of the craft. Quality checked before dispatch. Free pan-India delivery.

Product FAQs

Have questions? Check out our FAQs or contact support for assistance.

How is the Girls Mor Kali waist panel worn?

It is worn over a chaniya choli or lehenga, centred at the front of the skirt. The fabric ties at the top pass around the waist and knot at the back, so the embroidered panel hangs flat down the front. Nothing is stitched or pinned to the outfit.

Is it one size, or what are the dimensions?

This panel is sized to 2 feet in length for young girls, with adjustable waist ties that fit most girls comfortably. Exact panel width is being confirmed and will be added to the listing shortly.

What colours are available?

The Girls Mor Kali comes in two colours: Black and White. Each is hand-embroidered on its own base fabric, so shade may vary slightly piece to piece.

How do I care for the mirror work and embroidery?

Dry clean only — avoid machine washing, soaking or wringing. Iron on the reverse at low heat, keeping the iron away from mirrors and beadwork. Store flat or loosely rolled with tissue between embroidered layers so the mirrors do not scratch, and keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight to protect the thread colours.

Will my piece look exactly like the photo?

Very close, but not pixel-for-pixel. Every panel is hand-embroidered by artisans, so small variations in stitch tension and mirror placement are part of the craft rather than a defect — each piece is quality checked before it ships.
