This Rangoli Kandora is a hand-set mirror-tile belt on a white base, where each hexagon mirror is bound in wedges of red, green, yellow and white thread and finished with a dense fringe of cowrie-shell (kaudi) drops — a Kutch–Saurashtra craft piece that reads bright against a dark chaniya on Navratri and Garba nights.

How is the Rangoli Kandora belt worn?

It ties around the waist over a lehenga, chaniya choli or plain skirt. Bring the white cords around to the back or front and knot them, letting the tassels hang. Most people wear it low on the hip so the cowrie shell fringe swings while dancing.

Is it one size, and will it fit me?
